My Famous Burger Bowl
The recipe everyone has been asking for: My famous burger bowl!
I mean.. look at how stunning these burger bowls are!
Every time I make this recipe, I get tons of questions about how I make it and what I put in my burger bowls to make them look so good! So today, I’m finally sharing my go-to burger bowl recipe — it’s high in protein, packed with flavor, and perfect for a quick, balanced weeknight dinner.
Here Is the recipe:
1 Pack of lean ground beef
1 Yellow onion
Pickles ( I love the bread and butter ones)
Avocado
Shredded cheddar cheese
1-2 sweet potatoes (depending how many people you are feeding)
Butter lettuce which will be going on the bottom of the bowl.
High-Protein Burger Sauce 🍔
No burger bowl is complete without the sauce — and this one takes it to the next level! It’s creamy, tangy, and packed with protein, making it the perfect topping for your bowl.
Here’s what you’ll need:
½ cup non-fat Greek yogurt
¼ cup light mayo
¼ cup ketchup
¼ cup yellow mustard
2 tablespoons minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
The secret touch:
Add a splash of pickle juice for that extra burst of flavor — it ties everything together and gives the sauce that classic burger taste!
Simply mix everything together in a small bowl until smooth and creamy. Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to a week (though, trust me, it probably won’t last that long).
Instructions:
If you’re craving all the flavors of a juicy burger but want something a little lighter, this burger bowl is the way to go. It’s hearty, packed with flavor, and so easy to throw together for a balanced weeknight dinner.
Let’s get cooking!
Start by grabbing a bowl and adding a handful of butter lettuce to the bottom — this will be your fresh, crunchy base.
Next, peel and wash your sweet potatoes, then cut them into bite-sized cubes. Toss them into your air fryer or oven at 400°F for 20–22 minutes, until they’re golden and crispy on the edges.
While those are cooking, heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet and add your ground beef. Season it with your favorite spices and let it brown and cook through.
In another pan, sauté sliced onions with a little olive oil and butter over medium heat. Stir occasionally until they’re soft, sweet, and caramelized — this adds the best flavor to your bowl.
Once everything’s cooked, it’s time to assemble!
Layer the ground beef on top of the lettuce, followed by your crispy sweet potatoes, caramelized onions, pickles, avocado, and a sprinkle of shredded cheese so it melts right over the warm beef.
For the finishing touch, drizzle on your high-protein burger sauce — and that’s it! You’ve just made a nourishing, crave-worthy dinner that’ll definitely make its way into your weekly rotation.
